Armageddon Wars is a turn-based tactical war game, set in a future apocalyptical Earth. You control a battalion of Ultratanks, giant robotic war machines. You are out numbered and out gunned by the enemy, only by using careful strategy can you win.

You are EURCOM operative #52546-3, charged with leading a EURCOM battalion against PACT forces who have setup production facilities in the ruins of a city.
The objective to capture or destroy all of PACTs bases and gain control of the city. There are 7 different sectors to fight through, each getting progrssively more difficult.
To complicate matters EURCOMs supply lines have been cut off. To gain raw materials for construction you need to salvage destroyed tanks from the battlefield, using the Proteus combat engineering vehicle. EURCOMs base can only manufacture relatively weak units, however if you manage to capture an enemy base you can build more powerful units. This will, in fact, prove to be crucial, because in some sectors PACT have deployed very powerful forces.

Be warned: The AI is both intelligent and unpredictable. It can counter-attack at any point and employs a scorched earth policy.

--------------------------------------
New in Version 2.0

* New final scene: Battle for control of 10 bases in the vast Industrial complex.
* PACT now has repair units and EURCOM has possibility to manufacture Goliath units.
* Units can level up - increasing armour each time they are fully repaired.
* Better game balance. Game difficulty adjusts automatically according to players progress.

Pros and cons of Armageddon Wars app for iPhone and iPad

Armageddon Wars app good for

Dont normally like this kind of game but quite enjoyed this. Still a bit hard...
The strategy aspect is good but everything looks so blend. Please make the visuals a bit better.
nice game with nice graphic, started to play and it was hard to stop :) but yes, its bit too hard
As a beginner to turn based games, I wasnt sure what to expect. I read about the difficulty others described. I also find it difficult, but the developer seems to taking steps to remedy this which I appreciate. Graphics are good. I definitely see the attraction of these types of games. Already Im spending too much time on this one :-)
As nearly as I can tell the new updates fix all the bugs. Hard but fun! The AI isnt fantastically bright, but youre at such a disadvantage for most of the game that its still challenging. However, with only 5 missions its very short, and although the style of the visuals is very distinctive there is little variety.
Good game with nice graphics. Its pretty hard for mr. You have to master getting in, attacking and getting out of range. I dont seem to be mastering that yet. I always lose on the second level.

Some bad moments

Im a big fan of TBS games and this one has potential but its just too unforgiving. One suggestion: give the ability to "undo" a move (not attack) or selecting an end of a turn - its very frustrating to have to restart a game because you accidentally do something.
With even rudimentary tactical skills a novice gamer can breeze through this title. Need much more content to make this offering worthwhile.
No matter how many times I restarted the whole campaign I could never beat the 6th level because the Als were always too over powered and it didnt matter how many tanks I had, I always lost. I think the game needs options to upgrade your tanks so you can produce better tanks that wont die with one hit.
